Explore the ethics of communication with clients around the topics such as pursuing
information, interpreting findings, suggesting treatment options and casual conversation.

A therapist’s actions and speech have great impact upon a client’s sense of safety, and therefore their receptivity to the work. This class uses the NCBTMB code of ethics to demonstrate a model for self-awareness and self-management, and proposes guidelines for ethical decision making related to communication with clients. Content includes lecture, discussion and case presentation.

Reflexology is the application of pressure by a trained practitioner on, but not limited to, the feet, hands and ears to bring about physiological changes in the whole body. The course will emphasize the use and techniques of Reflexology, when they can be applied and why they should be used. Reflexology has been in use as a main therapeutic method for thousands of years in many other countries.

Covered in the workshop: background of Reflexology, mapping of reflex areas, techniques on ears, hands and feet. Illustrated manual included.
